Jordan Forster, Bassist
Jordan is from Tustin, CA. He started playing bass guitar in high school after seeing his brother having fun learning guitar. It sparked his interest and, instead of learning guitar, he decided to learn bass guitar. "I didn’t want to be the guy doing all of the flashy slows. I wanted to be the guy in the background laying down a groove. That’s why I chose to learn bass guitar”. His mindset about being in the background has since changed and loves interacting with the crowd and sharing his passion with others.
His favorite type of music to play is rock. He also enjoys funk and blues. His favorite bands are Muse and Red Hot Chili Peppers. His favorite bass players are Chris Wolstenholme from Muse, Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Victor Wooten from Bela Fleck and The Flecktones.
Jordan joined the band in 2021 after one of the former guitarists of the band reached out to him to join. They had played together in bands in the past and their bassist at the time left the band. Jordan was not in a band at the time, so he was thrilled to join a band.
When Jordan is not playing music, he enjoys playing and watching sports, working out, playing disc golf, and hanging out with friends. He also has a keen fashion sense and likes to dress well.
Joseph Gallegos, Lead Guitarist
Joseph was born and raised in Orange County, CA. He wanted to be a guitar player since he was in the 5th grade. His parents put him in classical guitar classes for a year and he hated it. So, they found him a private teacher who taught him how to play music by ear and he’s been playing in bands ever since.
He loves playing alternative rock, funk, reggae, ska, punk, pop punk, and most other styles of rock ‘n’ roll.
Some of his favorite bands are Red Hot Chili Peppers, Green Day, Blink-182, Sublime, Dave Matthews Band, Cake, Sum 41, and Linkin Park, but anything 90’s and early 2000’s alternative rock are his preference.
Once Covid was over, he started to feel the itch to play music again. He is friends with a couple members of DYER 55 and they were looking for a guitarist. The timing and the stars aligned perfectly and he got to join an awesome ensemble of amazing musicians. And what an amazing experience it has been!
When Joseph it not playing music, he enjoys fantasy sports, probably more so than the sport itself. He is a huge Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan. He also enjoys going to movie theatres to watch movies.
